Borough is a story of goodwill and generosity from Marlborough. Passionate people and organisations coming together and producing a gift to support the youth in their community. With 100% of profits from this wine going directly to the Graeme Dingle Foundation in Marlborough to help empower the region’s young people to overcome life’s obstacles.

Playing on the name Marl ‘borough’, and inspired by the brand’s mission, the design focuses on community by highlighting different perspectives of the region at the intersection of people and landscape. Working with a local photographer to bring the art direction to life, we combine imagery of everyday scenes with lesser known, but quintessentially Marlborough, landscapes. From a keen surfer catching a wave on a cold winter’s morning at the Awatere River mouth, to a laidback spot of reading and fishing on the jetty at Little Ngakuta Bay.

Vertically aligning the logomark further provides a different perspective to the word ‘Borough’ and complements the art direction. The logo is clean and pared back to allow the imagery of the region be the main focus of the brand.

This brand is all about local: made by locals, for locals, to support locals. Borough for Marlborough.
